At the high-power end of a 480 V motor-control system, Allen-Bradley 20G11TD740JN0NNNNN is a Frame 8 PowerFlex 755 AC drive with embedded EtherNet/IP. It converts three-phase line power into regulated motor output for large drives and exchanges control references and operating status with the automation controller through the embedded network interface.
The power assembly in 20G11TD740JN0NNNNN supports light-, normal- and heavy-duty motor ratings from one 740 A catalog configuration. It uses open-type forced-air construction, AC input with DC terminals, filtered input hardware and no internal DB transistor; the blank HIM selection and large Frame 8 structure make network access, operator access, cabinet airflow and service clearance explicit parts of the installation plan.

The Frame 8 assembly moves energy through distinct line, DC and motor stages.
The line-side section receives the published 480 V three-phase supply and feeds the internal conversion path.
Rectified energy is held on the DC link, with the catalog input configuration providing the defined DC terminals.
The inverter switches DC energy into controlled output for the selected light-, normal- or heavy-duty motor load.
Mechanical scale and cooling access are functional requirements, not cosmetic differences.
The drive relies on the surrounding enclosure for environmental protection and appropriate access control.
Forced-air inlet and exhaust space must remain unobstructed across the large power assembly.
The installation must leave a practical route to power terminals, network/control areas and replaceable cooling components.
They are three separate duty-class ratings. Select the value that matches the motor load and required overload profile; they are not simultaneous outputs that can be combined.
No. This catalog configuration lists no dynamic-braking device. An internal DB transistor must not be assumed when the external stopping circuit is designed.
20G11TD740JN0NNNNN uses the Frame 8 platform, with its own dimensions, cooling route, access space and handling requirements. Those mechanical conditions differ from smaller frames.
Yes. Embedded EtherNet/IP supports configured network commands and returned status; the line input and motor output remain on separate power terminals.
No. The standard maximum surrounding-air temperature for the Frame 8 open drive is 40 °C (104 °F), so a 45 °C condition is outside that published limit.
