Triconex 9666X is a 32-point, commoned 24 V DC Field External Termination connector for the Tricon CX 8131X I/O expansion chassis. It is a passive connection assembly used with the 3626X supervised digital output module. Its role is to carry the output circuits between the chassis module position and compatible external termination panels without performing switching or signal processing itself.
Inside the Tricon CX field-wiring chain, Triconex 9666X sits between the 3626X module pair and the interface cable. Voted output power leaves the active module through the connector, continues to the external panel, and then reaches the field load; the return and field-supply paths remain on the termination side. This arrangement allows the removable module and the cabinet's permanent field wiring to stay physically separate.

9666X completes the internal side of the 3626X field-wiring route and must be aligned with the correct logical slot and cable assembly.
The connector installs at the FET location associated with the selected 3626X I/O-module pair.
The approved cable carries the thirty-two commoned output points from the FET to external termination hardware.
The connector and chassis switch position must match the intended digital-output path before modules are energized.
9666X joins a removable TMR output module to external termination panels without becoming an active I/O channel itself.
A 3626X produces and supervises output commands; the FET only transfers those circuits to the field interface.
One or more compatible termination panels divide the thirty-two-point connector into cabinet field-wiring groups.
The module can be serviced at the chassis while permanent field conductors remain landed on the external panel.
No. It is a passive field external termination connector. The active supervised output electronics are in the 3626X module.
The documented Tricon CX module is 3626X. A different I/O type requires its own FET and termination path.
It carries 32 commoned 24 V DC output points. The external panel arrangement may divide those points into smaller terminal groups.
State the FET model, 3626X module, interface-cable part number, ETP model and required quantity. These items are separate catalog components.
The FET connector sits behind a defined I/O-module pair. Matching the slot prevents the external cable from being associated with the wrong module position.
The intended architecture routes the FET through an interface cable to an external termination panel. Field conductors are landed at that panel rather than on the removable chassis module.
MOORE AUTOMATION
https://www.mvme.cn/Moore Automation keeps the 9666X connector, compatible 3626X module, cable and termination-panel references as separate order lines. Tracking messages use the confirmed catalog numbers and quantities so a passive connector is not recorded as an active output module.
