Triconex 3723X is a 32-channel, single-ended TMR analog input module with HART pass-through for the 8131X Tricon CX I/O expansion chassis. It receives process-variable signals through external termination hardware, converts them into voted analog values for the control application, and carries HART device communication on the same field loops.

The measurement path for Triconex 3723X begins at the transmitter loop on a compatible ETP and crosses the cable and 9769X FET connector into three isolated acquisition paths. Each path uses its own common core, converter and multiplexer, after which the module compares the results before presenting the process value to the processors. Field power stays on the termination side, while the removable module handles conversion and voting.

Within Triconex 3723X, a separate HART FPGA and HART circuit extract the digital communication superimposed on the analog loop and pass that data toward the chassis communication path. The analog measurement therefore remains available to the control program while device messages travel through the HART route, and the front status and point indicators identify module, field and channel conditions without replacing the host-side HART configuration.
