COMPACT DRIVE SELECTION · 480 V CLASS
Two compact 480 V-class drive ratings for small three-phase motor applications.
Allen-Bradley 22F-D1P5N103 and 22F-D2P5N103 are PowerFlex 4M adjustable-frequency AC drives. Both drives use a 380–480 V AC three-phase input and provide a 0–460 V three-phase output for the motor circuit.
Within the shared voltage class, 22F-D1P5N103 is rated 0.4 kW (0.5 HP) with 1.5 A output, while 22F-D2P5N103 is rated 0.75 kW (1 HP) with 2.5 A output. Their rated input currents are 1.5 A and 3.0 A respectively.
The 22F-D1P5N103 and 22F-D2P5N103 configurations both use Frame A, an IP20 open enclosure, an LED display and a fixed digital keypad with potentiometer. Neither configuration includes a CE-compliant filter or brake IGBT.

On 22F-D1P5N103 and 22F-D2P5N103, terminals 01, 02 and 03 are assigned to Stop, Start/Run Forward and Direction/Run Reverse.
The dedicated command terminals can be programmed for two-wire or three-wire control.
Two additional digital inputs can select functions including preset frequency, jog, RS-485 control, second acceleration/deceleration, auxiliary fault and fault clear.
22F-D1P5N103 and 22F-D2P5N103 accept either a 0-10 V input or a 4-20 mA input for speed control.
Compare the motor full-load current with the drive continuous output: 1.5 A for the first catalog number and 2.5 A for the second, then check the load duty and enclosure temperature.
These catalog numbers are specified for a three-phase 380–480 V AC input. Do not redesign the supply connection without a documented Rockwell Automation application method.
Acceleration time, reflected inertia and motor current can create a short high-demand period. Check the current trend and increase the ramp only after the mechanical process is understood.
The technical data lists 3 A and 6 A protection classes respectively. Final selection must follow the applicable code and the approved protective-device table.
Prove local control first, set the required communication parameters, use the correct termination and shield practice, then test command loss behavior.
Yes. Their IP20/open construction is intended for installation in a suitable industrial enclosure with the required clearance and environmental protection.
