COMPACT LADDER CONTROLLER · AC INPUT
A 16-point base controller with AC inputs and relay outputs.
Allen-Bradley 1745-LP101 is an SLC 100 processor unit. It combines the processor, user memory and local I/O used to execute an SLC 100 ladder program and control the connected input and output circuits.
The local I/O on 1745-LP101 consists of ten 85–132 V AC inputs and six hard-contact outputs rated for 10–250 V AC or 10–125 V DC circuits. Incoming power accepts either 85–132 V AC or 170–265 V AC at 50/60 Hz, and the 16-point base can be expanded to a 112-I/O system.
Program storage in 1745-LP101 is 885 words of CMOS RAM with lithium-battery backup, and an optional 1745-M1 EEPROM can store the program outside RAM. Typical scan time is 15 ms, with the actual value dependent on program length.

1745-LP101 uses DC POWER and PC RUN indicators to show energized and Run-mode states.
CPU FAULT identifies a detected CPU or memory error, while BATTERY LOW indicates that backup-battery voltage has crossed its threshold.
FORCED I/O identifies forced addresses; ten input LEDs and six output LEDs correspond to the local terminal addresses.
On 1745-LP101, the Auto position allows the processor to complete diagnostics and return to Run mode when it was running before power-down.
It provides 16 points: ten AC inputs and six hard-contact outputs. Expansion can increase a complete system to 112 I/O points.
The controller accepts either 85–132 V AC or 170–265 V AC at 50/60 Hz. Verify the terminal selection and site supply before energizing.
The published AC input filter is 10–25 ms. Mechanical contact bounce and ladder scan behavior can add to the perceived response.
No. Voltage is only one limit; current, inrush and load type also matter. Use the manual ratings and suppression for inductive devices.
Preserve the program, I/O documentation, timer/counter settings and an annotated wiring record before disturbing the installed controller.
Install it in a suitable industrial enclosure, bond the grounding path as instructed and separate noisy power conductors from sensitive control wiring.
