After a Kinetix 6000 IAM creates the 325 V DC rail, the Allen-Bradley 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S add three different motor-current classes to the same modular system. Each axis module receives bus and control power from the rail, accepts its own SERCOS command and motor feedback, and sends regulated U/V/W output to one connected servo motor.
Across a populated rail, 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S are positioned according to power utilization and available connector width rather than catalog-number order. The AM01 uses the narrow frame, while AM03 and AM05 use the larger frame; motor cable, feedback cable, brake wiring and safe-off continuity remain specific to each physical axis.

The Allen-Bradley 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S take converted energy from the Bulletin 2094 rail and dedicate one inverter stage to each motor axis.
An axis module has no incoming AC converter; a compatible IAM must precharge and maintain the rail before the module can operate.
Each AM receives its own cyclic command and feedback data, then applies the resulting current command only to its connected motor.
Regenerated motor energy flows back through the module to the common rail, where the system shunt arrangement controls bus rise.
The IAM converter is sized from the combined loading of its integrated axis and all AM units rather than the largest module alone.
The Allen-Bradley 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S keep motor power, position feedback and brake control on distinct connections at every axis.
U/V/W conductors carry inverter output to the motor, and the protective-earth path bonds the cable shield and motor frame.
The motor feedback connector returns position data needed by the current and velocity loops for that exact motor axis.
A separate auxiliary input can accept the configured secondary feedback device without combining it with the motor feedback route.
The motor holding brake is switched by its designated circuit and remains electrically separate from DC-bus shunt braking.
No. Before wiring 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S, these are axis modules with no standalone AC converter. They require a compatible IAM and Bulletin 2094 rail to supply DC-bus and control power.
While commissioning 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S, match each module’s continuous and peak current to its motor and motion cycle. Also verify that the IAM can supply the combined demand of every axis on the rail.
No. For 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S, aM01 uses the narrow frame, while AM03 and AM05 use a larger mechanical envelope. Count physical connector positions and cabinet width before selecting the rail.
Within a 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S installation, place the axis with the highest power-utilization percentage nearest the IAM. Continue in descending utilization order, not simply by model number.
When specifying 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S, only when the connected motors and feedback interfaces call for the same approved cable family and connector kit. Check each axis independently rather than assuming a common cable from the drive series.
On 2094-AM01-S / 2094-AM03-S / 2094-AM05-S, use the specified Bulletin 2094 slot filler on every unused connector. Do not energize a rail with an exposed power connector.
