Welcome to Moore Automation Limited
On April 2, 2026, Siemens officially announced the expansion of its industrial-grade private 5G infrastructure to the United States and seven European countries: Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Norway, Poland, and the United Kingdom. This deployment leverages the release of two new radio frequency units, adding support for the 3.8-4.2GHz general-purpose band and the US-dedicated CBRS band. This expands the coverage of Siemens' private 5G solution to 15 countries in Europe and America, creating a new, self-controllable, low-latency industrial wireless communication foundation for companies in manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, intralogistics, heavy industry, and crane operations.
Key Pain Points in Industrial Connectivity Drive Dedicated 5G Solutions
With the accelerating penetration of industrial intelligence, the implementation of AI technology in factories has led to an exponential explosion in data volume. Traditional unlicensed Wi-Fi bands are prone to network congestion and frequent interference in high-density industrial environments, making it difficult to meet the core demand for deterministic connectivity in production processes. This pain point has become a key bottleneck restricting the implementation of smart manufacturing, and private 5G under licensed spectrum has become the optimal solution to solve the industrial connectivity problem.
Axel Lorenz, CEO of Siemens Process Automation, stated, "The industrial sector deserves a dedicated 5G solution. This rollout in the US market allows manufacturers to build reliable and secure digital backbone networks within their factories according to their own needs, achieving full-process autonomous control." This is precisely the core logic behind Siemens' private 5G deployment—starting from the actual needs of industrial scenarios, directly addressing the underlying connectivity pain points of smart manufacturing, and creating a dedicated communication support system for industrial production.
Dual-core technology upgrades create localized industrial 5G capabilities.
The core competitiveness of Siemens' global expansion of private 5G stems from the launch of two new radio frequency units and the technological iteration of 5G routers, achieving breakthroughs in both frequency band adaptation and on-site data processing capabilities.
For the US market, Siemens has customized a CBRS band RF unit, breaking down the spectrum barriers for local enterprises deploying private 5G. This allows companies to independently deploy their own 5G networks within their factories without relying on third-party operators, enabling local transmission and processing of production data and completely eliminating dependence on public networks. Another RF unit covering the 3.8-4.2GHz band is precisely adapted to the spectrum specifications of newly expanded European countries, forming a standardized cross-regional solution and reducing adaptation costs for cross-border deployments.
Simultaneously, Siemens has added edge runtime capabilities to its 5G routers, allowing applications to run directly on the device, saving the cost and space of additional hardware deployment. This enables real-time data processing and local AI algorithm calls on the production line, truly achieving the industrial interconnection goal of "data on-site, value in an instant," perfectly matching the real-time and efficiency requirements of modern manufacturing.
Industrial-native design, adapted to all production scenarios
Unlike consumer-grade 5G and public network services provided by traditional operators, Siemens' proprietary 5G infrastructure is an end-to-end solution tailored for industrial scenarios from the outset. It deeply integrates industrial operational needs, OT network security standards, and end-user operating habits, possessing core characteristics of strong adaptability, high reliability, and ease of operation.
Regarding connection stability, the solution operates on licensed spectrum, providing interference-free and deterministic connectivity for production-critical operations. This completely solves the shortcomings of traditional wireless communication in terms of stability and latency, adapting to the stringent requirements of continuous production lines. In terms of hardware reliability, the product adopts an industrial-grade design, adaptable to complex physical environments such as high temperatures, dust, and vibration in factories. Regarding operational autonomy, enterprises do not need to rely on third-party network service providers and can independently control the entire process of network planning, deployment, and operation and maintenance, ensuring the security and controllability of production data.
In terms of compatibility and ease of use, this solution natively supports core industrial automation protocols such as PROFINET, seamlessly integrating with Siemens' existing IT/OT converged architecture. As a key component of Siemens' Xcelerator solution portfolio, it can efficiently collaborate with existing enterprise digital systems. Tailored to the operational characteristics of industrial users, the solution employs a web-based visual dashboard, requiring only the configuration of approximately 20 variables for deployment, making it easy for non-IT professionals in production line maintenance to operate. Furthermore, the solution has passed TÜV safety certification in Germany, supports wireless PROFIsafe communication, and, when paired with Siemens 5G routers and safety automation equipment, meets the stringent requirements of production line safety-related application scenarios, building a solid defense for industrial production safety.

Dual-core layout in Europe and America, building a global service network in 15 countries
With this expansion, Siemens' global private 5G infrastructure layout has officially formed a dual-core pattern in Europe and America, achieving a significant leap in coverage.
In addition to the newly launched US and seven European countries, the solution has already been commercially deployed in Austria, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland, bringing the total number of countries covered to 15. All covered regions are countries providing private 5G spectrum resources, clearing policy obstacles for enterprise deployment. Notably, the US market will officially launch in the summer of 2026, at which time North American manufacturing companies will have access to localized industrial private 5G solutions, eliminating the need to spend time and effort on cross-regional spectrum adaptation and technology compatibility issues.
This global deployment not only makes Siemens one of the companies with the most extensive deployment in the industrial private 5G field, but also provides multinational manufacturing companies with standardized private 5G solutions, enabling unified network deployment and management across their global production bases and reducing communication costs for global operations.
Full-stack connectivity solutions solidify the communication foundation for AI manufacturing.
Industrial 5G is a core pillar of AI-driven manufacturing and a key component of Siemens' industrial interconnection strategy. At the Hannover Messe industrial trade fair in Germany, held from April 20-24, 2026, Siemens will showcase its full portfolio of industrial connectivity products, covering wired and wireless networking, switching, routing, industrial power supplies, and OT network management, diagnostics, and network security solutions, creating a full-stack capability from physical layer connectivity to data layer management.
