HIMA X-COM 01
Communication module for Ethernet and optional fieldbus data exchange within the HIMax programmable electronic system.
Dedicated HIMax communication processing
HIMA HIMax X-COM 01 is a communication module for the HIMax programmable electronic system. It combines a processor system, an Ethernet switch, four Ethernet interfaces and two positions for optional fieldbus interfaces. Communication with the HIMax processor module is performed through the redundant system bus.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the function of HIMA HIMax X-COM 01?
X-COM 01 provides Ethernet and optional fieldbus communication for a HIMax programmable electronic system and exchanges data with the processor module through the redundant system bus.
Which connector board is required?
X-COM 01 forms a functional unit with connector board X-CB 001 02, which provides the Ethernet and fieldbus interfaces.
How many communication interfaces are available?
The connector board provides four switched RJ-45 Ethernet ports and two fieldbus interface positions. Each fieldbus position requires an appropriate HIMA-installed submodule.
Can X-COM 01 be replaced while the system is operating?
The HIMA manual permits mounting and removal during HIMax operation when the prescribed procedure is followed. The fan-rack cover must not remain open longer than the specified short period.
Can another X-COM 010 XY variant be installed directly?
Not without checking the complete configuration. The XY suffix identifies fitted fieldbus options, so the module name, part number, hardware and software revisions, protocol configuration and connector board must match the project documentation.
