Product Overview
IS220PDIOH1A is a PDIO discrete input/output I/O pack for Mark VIe systems. It interfaces one or two I/O Ethernet networks with a discrete input/output terminal board and combines the functions of a PDIA input pack and PDOA output pack in one assembly.
The pack accepts up to 24 contact inputs, controls up to 12 relay outputs, and receives terminal-board feedback. The associated TDBS or TDBT terminal board determines the field-voltage capability and the available application arrangement.

Compatibility
The pack is used with the documented simplex or TMR terminal-board arrangement. Verify the terminal-board code, one- or two-network connection scheme, 28 VDC supply path and pack role before substituting hardware; these relationships determine whether the installed arrangement is valid.
The terminal-board type, pack count and network arrangement establish whether the installed path is simplex or TMR. These are compatibility checks that must be completed before a pack is connected, not after a command is issued.
Technical Diagram
The manual figure shows the three-pack PDIO TMR relationship, including the TDBT terminal board, Ethernet connections and 28 VDC supplies. Use it to verify the documented simplex/TMR architecture before reconnecting the pack.
Confirm the applicable terminal-board code and the one- or two-network connection scheme in the installation record. The figure is clickable for close inspection.
Discrete Diagnostics
Each contact input uses filtering, hysteresis and LED status, while relay commands use current monitoring. Use the channel indication and commanded/current-feedback relationship to trace a field-contact or relay-load fault through the proper path.
For a non-responding point, use the input LED, periodic threshold test and relay current feedback to determine which side of the I/O path is affected. This separates a field-contact issue from a commanded relay-load issue.
Product FAQ
How do I confirm whether IS220PDIOH1A is installed as simplex or TMR?
Check the terminal-board arrangement, pack count and documented network connections.
Why should IS220PDIOH1A contact-input LED status be checked first?
It helps separate a field contact issue from a controller-command or relay-load issue.
What can prevent a IS220PDIOH1A relay command from operating a load?
Check the external load circuit and current-feedback path after the command is confirmed.
When are IS220PDIOH1A Ethernet connections not interchangeable?
When the installed simplex/TMR architecture specifies one or two particular network paths.
How should a non-responding IS220PDIOH1A contact input be investigated?
Trace the field contact through the terminal board and use the periodic input-test indication.
What must be retained for a IS220PDIOH1A replacement?
Terminal-board code, pack role, 28 VDC supply path and network cabling.
