A combined reference for the enhanced local I/O transmitter and two four-channel 12-bit analog voltage output modules.
IC600BF940, IC600BF941 and IC600BF942 share the Series Six rack platform but serve two separate control functions. IC600BF940 is the enhanced Local I/O Transmitter that extends an I/O path to downstream equipment and can suppress its status-byte generation for specific Expanded Channel 1 redundant-processor applications. IC600BF941 and IC600BF942 are four-channel analog output modules.
The analog modules accept 12 bits of binary output data plus a channel selection from the CPU and convert the command to a field voltage. IC600BF941 is cataloged for 0 to +10 Vdc output, while IC600BF942 provides -10 to +10 Vdc bipolar output. On-board jumpers permit individual channel reassignment among supported analog output functions, but calibration and field-loop requirements must still be observed.
The transmitter belongs in the I/O communication path; the two analog modules belong at final-control signal points such as process-control references and motor-speed commands. Record the complete part number, rack location, chain connections, output range and calibration state rather than relying on the shared BF94x prefix.

IC600BF940 separates downstream I/O stations through an isolated transmitter path and provides four front-panel condition indicators for chain and power state.
In an RPU system using conventional I/O on Expanded Channel 1, the enhanced transmitter can disable status-byte generation to avoid the register conflict identified in the GE manual.
IC600BF941 produces four unipolar voltage outputs; IC600BF942 produces four bipolar voltage outputs. Both use 12-bit CPU data and channel selection.
A revision check matters for analog output placement: early A versions are specified for local I/O, while later versions support both local and remote I/O applications.
Document channel mode, fault handling, status-byte selection and every upstream/downstream I/O connection before replacement.
Match each channel jumper to the required output mode and verify the external load or loop arrangement.
Use the specified calibration connector and measurement equipment, apply low-end and high-end commands, then adjust at the normal operating temperature.
Confirm chain indicators for IC600BF940 and prove commanded output values on all four channels for IC600BF941 or IC600BF942.
Its status-byte generation can be disabled so that the conventional I/O status byte does not conflict with registers used by the RPU transfer functions.
IC600BF941 is the 0 to +10 Vdc version; IC600BF942 is the -10 to +10 Vdc bipolar version.
No. The manual limits the A versions to local I/O and permits later versions in local or remote I/O. Confirm the alpha suffix on the installed module.
Each module provides four analog output channels converted from 12-bit CPU data.
Check isolated power, chain continuity, parity indication, fault-enable state and any status-byte option required by the I/O architecture.
