Bently Nevada · Machinery monitoring hardware
A top-exit 100 mV/g accelerometer record based on the AM3100T2-Z2 IEPE sensor family.
Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00 is retained as a top-exit IEPE accelerometer record in the AM3100T2-Z2 family. The sensor combines a PZT ceramic shear element and integrated electronics in a 316L stainless-steel case, producing a voltage signal proportional to machine-case acceleration.
Dynamic performance for Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00 follows the AM3100T2-Z2 family basis: 100 mV/g sensitivity, an 80 g peak measurement range and a 0.4 to 14,000 Hz response at the 3 dB limits. The internal circuit is powered from an 18 to 30 Vdc constant-current source at 2 to 10 mA.
The top interface of Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00 uses a two-pin MIL-C-5015-style connector, while the base uses a 1/4-28 UNF tapped mounting hole. Its hermetically sealed 316L stainless-steel case operates across the documented -55 to +120 °C temperature range.

Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00 converts case acceleration into a low-impedance voltage through a shear-mode ceramic element and integrated electronics.
Acceleration along the sensing axis loads the PZT ceramic shear structure and produces charge proportional to motion.
The internal electronics convert element charge to the nominal 100 mV/g voltage scale while operating from constant-current excitation.
The two-wire IEPE path carries supply current to the sensor and returns the acceleration signal relative to common.
Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00 is installed by coupling its base to the measurement surface, preserving the top-exit connector orientation and wiring the two-wire IEPE path to a constant-current input.
Provide a clean, flat machine surface and use the 1/4-28 mounting interface so the sensor base is firmly coupled and its sensing axis follows the required vibration direction.
Mate the two-pin MIL-C-5015-style connector without side-loading it; connect pin A to power/signal, pin B to common and the shell to the cable shield.
Terminate the shielded twisted pair at an 18 to 30 Vdc, 2 to 10 mA constant-current input and apply the Zone 2 installation requirements associated with the AM3100T2-Z2 approval.
Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00 uses an IEPE constant-current source: 18 to 30 Vdc with 2 to 10 mA current regulation. A passive voltage input without excitation will not power the integrated electronics.
Mount Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00 through its 1/4-28 base so the sensing axis follows the required case-vibration direction. Prepare a flat, clean mounting surface and avoid side loading the top connector.
Use shielded twisted-pair cabling for Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00, keeping the run within the recommended 30.5 m limit. Maintain shell grounding and the A/B pin assignments at the top-exit connector.
The AM3100T2-Z2 family basis for Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00 is 0.7 to 9,000 Hz within ±10% and 0.4 to 14,000 Hz at the 3 dB points. The selected monitoring band should stay inside the required accuracy envelope.
For Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00, check constant-current excitation, connector pin assignment, shield continuity and cable insulation. The nominal bias is 12 Vdc, so a missing supply or shorted lead will disturb the operating point.
Bently Nevada AM3100T2-Z2-00 uses a hermetically sealed 316L stainless-steel case and the AM3100T2-Z2 family operates from -55 to +120 °C.
