Cooling-tower and other casing-vibration measurements are served by Bently Nevada 190501-09-99-01, a Velomitor CT piezo-velocity transducer that produces a voltage proportional to machine-surface velocity. Mounted on the casing, the sensor converts mechanical vibration through its internal piezoelectric assembly and sends the velocity signal through the included cable to the connected monitoring input.
Connection option 99 gives 190501-09-99-01 an included 32 ft cable, while mounting option 09 supplies a 3/8-24 to 1/4 NPT plate stud. The isolated 316L stainless-steel body may operate in any orientation; Pin A becomes positive relative to Pin B for velocity directed from the mounting base toward the top of the transducer.

Bently Nevada 190501-09-99-01 performs the sensing and conversion needed to deliver a casing-velocity signal directly to monitoring hardware.
Machine-casing motion acts through the mounted base and piezoelectric sensing element.
Internal electronics condition the sensing response into a voltage proportional to vibration velocity.
The included 32 ft lead carries the biased dynamic signal toward the receiving channel.
The operating limits of 190501-09-99-01 distinguish useful velocity bandwidth from shock, cross-axis and temperature effects.
The transducer covers 3 to 900 Hz within ±1 dB and extends to 1.5 Hz to 1 kHz within ±3 dB.
The specified range reaches 63.5 mm/s peak with ±2% amplitude linearity.
The sensor operates from -40 to +85°C and tolerates 100% condensing humidity when not submerged.
Connection option 99 includes a 32 ft cable with the transducer. The receiving-channel connection still has to match the supplied cable end and monitor input.
Mounting option 09 supplies a plate stud that converts the 3/8-24 sensor thread to a 1/4 NPT machine connection. The machine-side hole therefore follows the 1/4 NPT portion of the supplied stud.
Yes. The transducer permits any mounting orientation when the mounting surface and torque requirements are maintained.
Pin A goes positive relative to Pin B when velocity is directed from the base toward the top of the transducer. That polarity should be retained at the monitoring input.
The output operates around a 10.1 Vdc nominal bias. The vibration waveform rides on that bias, so the bias is part of the sensor’s normal powered output.
