Machine-side access
The sensing tip of 330906-02-12-10-02-05 faces the target while the hex and 3/8-24 UNF case thread remain behind it. The mounting arrangement therefore has to provide access to secure the case from the reverse side.

Bently Nevada · 3300 XL NSv proximity measurement
Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-05 is a 3300 NSv reverse-mount proximity probe with 3/8-24 UNF-2A threads. It forms the sensing end of a 3300 XL NSv proximity transducer system: the probe faces a conductive target, develops the eddy-current response, and passes that response through the probe lead and extension cable to the matched Proximitor Sensor.
With its mounting hardware positioned behind the sensing tip, 330906-02-12-10-02-05 fits installations that require reverse access to the probe case. Its 1.0 m, 75-ohm FEP-insulated coaxial lead ends in a miniature male ClickLoc connector, providing the mechanical lock and electrical handoff used by the NSv extension-cable path.
The selected order fields in 330906-02-12-10-02-05 retain the fixed 02-12 reverse-mount geometry, specify a 1.0 m total lead, select the standard ClickLoc cable connection, and include the multiple-approvals option. Reverse-mount NSv probes are not offered with armor or a connector-protector configuration, so those features must not be inferred from this part number.

Installing Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-05 starts with the reverse-mount access path, then controls thread engagement and finally routes the coaxial lead without loading the cable exit.
The sensing tip of 330906-02-12-10-02-05 faces the target while the hex and 3/8-24 UNF case thread remain behind it. The mounting arrangement therefore has to provide access to secure the case from the reverse side.
Limit the 3/8-24 thread engagement for 330906-02-12-10-02-05 to 0.563 in and use 7.5 N·m as the recommended case torque. Excess engagement can bind the probe during installation.
Route the 2.8 mm coaxial lead of 330906-02-12-10-02-05 with at least a 25.4 mm bend radius. The selected reverse-mount construction has neither armor nor a connector protector, so the cable path must not depend on those features.
The useful response of Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-05 depends on more than physical probe travel. Target properties, the static gap component, dynamic shaft motion and the receiving field-wiring load each affect how the conditioned signal should be interpreted.
Material, diameter and surrounding metal alter the electromagnetic field seen by 330906-02-12-10-02-05. A target unlike the steel calibration basis can change both scale factor and linear range, so its response must be verified rather than assumed equivalent.
The conditioned signal carries two related measurements: its steady component indicates average gap, while its changing component represents shaft displacement. Separating those components allows the receiving monitor to distinguish position from vibration without treating them as different probe outputs.
The matched NSv system supports response through 10 kHz, while three-conductor shielded field wiring may extend to 305 m. Added cable capacitance progressively reduces high-frequency response, so a long monitor run must be evaluated against the frequency content that needs to be preserved.
Keep Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-05 in its specified reverse-mount construction because this probe family is not available with armor or a connector-protector option. If the installation requires either feature, do not transfer that requirement onto this suffix—recheck the mounting method and probe family instead.
An existing cable can remain with Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-05 only when its electrical and mechanical compatibility and the complete matched system length are confirmed. The NSv probe and extension cable are compatible with previous 3300 RAM components, but the 1.0 m probe lead must still combine with the correct extension-cable length and Proximitor configuration.
For Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-05, begin with target material, the 1.0 mm reference gap, the ClickLoc connection and nearby metal clearances. Then verify target diameter and spacing from adjacent probes, because small targets, restricted side clearance and electromagnetic cross-talk can all shift the complete system response.
When mounting Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-05, control the tapped-hole depth so thread engagement does not exceed 0.563 in, and tighten the case to the recommended 7.5 N·m rather than forcing the body deeper. Excess engagement is the installation condition most directly associated with binding in the 3/8-24 case.
Place the ClickLoc joint of Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-05 in a protected location and do not assume that the 02 suffix supplies a connector protector. Silicone self-fusing tape can protect NSv connections in suitable environments, but it is not recommended where the probe-to-extension-cable joint is exposed to turbine oil.
Before installing Bently Nevada 330906-02-12-10-02-05 as a replacement, match the reverse-mount 3/8-24 construction, 1.0 m lead, ClickLoc connection and approval option. Also confirm that the remaining extension cable and Proximitor Sensor complete the intended 5 m or 7 m NSv system length; a similar connector alone is not enough.
Moore Automation supplies brand-new industrial automation components with product condition checked before dispatch. Protective packaging and clear shipment handling help keep sensitive parts identified and protected through delivery, while new parts carry a 12-month warranty.
