KINETIX 300 · ETHERNET/IP INDEXING SERVO DRIVES
Allen-Bradley 2097-V31PR0 / 2097-V32PR0 are 400 W Kinetix 300 EtherNet/IP indexing servo drives for single-axis motion. They sit between a machine controller and an MP-Series or TL-Series motor, receiving motion commands over the EtherNet/IP network and delivering the controlled motor-power output used by the axis.
At the panel, Allen-Bradley 2097-V31PR0 accepts 120/240 V single-phase input while 2097-V32PR0 is the 240 V single-phase version with an integrated AC line filter. Both models provide the same 400 W motion class and the same drive-side connection layout for Ethernet, I/O, motor feedback, motor power, backup control power and safe torque-off wiring.

The connection order matters: the controller network, field I/O, feedback and motor output each use a defined drive interface.
A CompactLogix controller and the 1585J-M8CBJM-x shielded Ethernet cable provide the network route to Port 1 for indexing commands and drive data.
The motor feedback cable terminates at the MF connector. The 2090-K2CK-D15M low-profile kit is the specified interface for the 15-pin feedback connection.
The MP connector sends motor power to the matched motor, while IOD handles drive I/O and the STO connector provides the safe torque-off connection in the machine circuit.
2097-V31PR0 / 2097-V32PR0 support a networked indexing workflow, while the same drive family also exposes web-based configuration and diagnostic access.
RSLogix 5000 software provides the programming environment for EtherNet/IP indexing control and the controller-side motion routine.
The built-in web server is used for drive configuration and diagnostics without changing the physical connector layout.
2097-MEM memory modules back up a drive configuration, and the 2097-PGMR programmer duplicates that configuration for automatic device replacement planning.
No. 2097-V31PR0 accepts 120/240 V single-phase input, while 2097-V32PR0 is the 240 V single-phase version. The supply shown on the panel drawing must match the exact catalog number.
No. The V32 version has an integrated AC line filter. The V31 version does not, so its panel design uses the specified external filtering arrangement when filtering is required.
Reserve the MF motor-feedback connector and the 2090-K2CK-D15M low-profile connector kit for the 15-pin feedback connection. Keep the feedback cable separate from the motor-power route.
The enhanced motor-output connector introduced for the Kinetix 300 drive family is mechanically compatible with existing motor-power cables. The cable termination and drive connector still need to be checked against the installed hardware.
The Kinetix 300 drive modules are limited to one AC mains power cycle per minute. Repeated test cycles should therefore be planned around that limit instead of rapidly removing and restoring the mains supply.
