Protocol Conversion Across Separate Ethernet Networks
The ProSoft PLX32-MBTCP-PND connects a PROFINET controller with Modbus TCP/IP equipment. Its dual-port architecture keeps the two protocols on separate subnets while the gateway transfers mapped data between them.
The unit operates as a PROFINET Class A Device and supports both Modbus TCP/IP client and server functions. Configuration and diagnostics can be performed remotely through the Ethernet interfaces.
