PROFINET and Modbus Serial Data Exchange
The ProSoft PLX31-PND-MBS4 connects a PROFINET controller to Modbus serial equipment. Each of its four serial ports can be configured independently as a Modbus master or slave and can use RTU or ASCII communication.
An internal database of 10,000 16-bit registers moves data between the serial channels and the PROFINET cyclic interface. The gateway provides 1440 bytes of input data and 1440 bytes of output data for the PROFINET controller.
