Bently Nevada 200150-06-05 Trendmaster Accelerometer

01

Product Description

A hermetically sealed seismic sensor is provided by Bently Nevada 200150-06-05, a general-purpose accelerometer for Trendmaster 2000 and Trendmaster Pro machinery-monitoring systems. Mounted on the machine casing, its ceramic shear element converts acceleration into a differential electrical output that travels through the top five-pin connector to the connected transducer interface module.

Mounting option 06 gives 200150-06-05 a compact 3/8-24 to 1/4 NPT hex stud, and suffix 05 selects the multiple-approval configuration. The stainless-steel body operates from -40 to +105°C, while the cable interface supplies excitation, signal conductors and shielding; the output settles around a +2.5 V bias before dynamic acceleration is evaluated by the monitoring channel.

Monitoring and Control - Acceleration Signal Path

Bently Nevada 200150-06-05 converts case acceleration into the differential signal handled by a Trendmaster interface channel.

POINT 01

Ceramic shear sensing

The sensing element reacts to acceleration transferred through the threaded mounting base.

POINT 02

Differential voltage output

SIG+ moves positive relative to SIG- for acceleration from the base toward the connector.

POINT 03

Interface-channel processing

The five-pin cable brings excitation to the sensor and returns the biased dynamic signal for monitoring.

04

Safety and Compliance - Sealed Sensor Installation

The approved construction of 200150-06-05 links enclosure sealing, electrical limits and mounting hardware to the installed sensor.

POINT 01

Hermetic stainless body

The sealed 316L enclosure isolates the sensing electronics from condensing, non-submerged humidity.

POINT 02

Approved electrical limits

The 05 option identifies the multiple-approval sensor configuration for the stated hazardous-area parameters.

POINT 03

Defined mounting interface

The supplied 1/4 NPT stud provides the machine-side thread while the sensor retains its 3/8-24 female mount.

Questions

Which machine thread is supplied with Bently Nevada 200150-06-05?

The 06 stud adapts the sensor’s 3/8-24 female mount to a 1/4 NPT machine connection. Its hex section is 3/4 inch.

Can Bently Nevada 200150-06-05 be connected with a two-wire velocity cable?

No. The accelerometer uses a top five-pin interface and a four-conductor shielded cable construction. The connector and interface wiring must match the Trendmaster accelerometer path.

How quickly does Bently Nevada 200150-06-05 settle after power is applied?

The published settling time is 300 ms maximum to within 5% of bias. Measurements should not be evaluated as stable before that bias condition is reached.

Does the IP67 cable seal make Bently Nevada 200150-06-05 suitable for submersion?

No. The sensor is rated for 100% condensing humidity but is specified as non-submerged. IP67 applies to the mated cable connector seal, not unlimited immersion of the installation.

What dc level is normal at the output of Bently Nevada 200150-06-05?

The nominal quiescent bias is +2.5 Vdc with a ±0.23 V tolerance. Dynamic acceleration appears as the differential signal around that operating point.
