MANAGED ETHERNET · POE · DLR
Two 18-port managed switches separated by NAT and conformal-coating options.
Allen-Bradley 1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK and 1783-BMS12T4E2CGP are 18-port managed switches in the Stratix 5700 family. Both units switch industrial Ethernet traffic through full-firmware managed-switch functions.
The port structure of 1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK and 1783-BMS12T4E2CGP consists of twelve 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports, four PoE ports and two 10/100/1000 Mbps dual-purpose combination ports. Control power is 12–48 V DC Class 2/SELV, and the PoE input is 48 V DC with a maximum of 30 W per PoE port.
Both 1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK and 1783-BMS12T4E2CGP support DLR and CIP Sync / IEEE 1588 PTP. The CGNK configuration includes NAT and conformal coating, while the CGP configuration has neither NAT nor conformal coating.

1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK and 1783-BMS12T4E2CGP provide two alarm-input circuits referenced to the REF terminal.
One alarm-output circuit provides normally open, common and normally closed dry contacts.
The output relay can be configured as normally energized or normally de-energized through the command-line interface.
On 1783-BMS12T4E2CGNK and 1783-BMS12T4E2CGP, a port indicator is amber while Spanning Tree Protocol discovers topology and checks for loops.
CGNK includes NAT and conformal coating. CGP does not include those two options; their port count and core managed features otherwise align.
Each has 18 ports: 12 Fast Ethernet copper, four PoE and two Gigabit dual-purpose combination ports.
The main switch accepts 12–48 V DC, but PoE delivery requires the separate 48 V supply sized for the connected powered devices.
Supervisor roles should be deliberate and documented. Configure precedence and test ring recovery instead of enabling supervision without a topology plan.
They are open-type indoor devices for a suitable enclosure, Pollution Degree 2 and Overvoltage Category II conditions up to 2000 m unless further engineering is applied.
Back up the switch configuration, VLAN and NAT data where applicable, DLR settings, time-sync roles, IP addresses and port diagnostics.
Why Choose Moore Automation
We treat suffix options, lifecycle and network role as part of the quotation instead of reducing a managed switch to its port count.
