YOKOGAWA · CENTUM ENGINEERING RECORD
Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1 and Yokogawa ASD533-S00 S1 are isolated digital I/O modules with built-in barriers for CENTUM field I/O. Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1 acquires sixteen NAMUR-compatible inputs and adds pulse-count handling, while Yokogawa ASD533-S00 S1 drives eight isolated status outputs for connected field circuits.
On Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1, current from a NAMUR sensor crosses the isolated interface and becomes status or pulse data for the FCS. Yokogawa ASD533-S00 S1 performs the reverse control path: an FCS output state drives the barrier output stage, which supplies approximately 12 V at 40 mA and rises toward 26 V at zero load.
Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1 uses the ATSB4 terminal family, whereas Yokogawa ASD533-S00 S1 uses ATSD3 terminals. The single or dual-redundant execution must match the installed node, and the barrier circuit, field device, cable and equipotential-bonding arrangement must be verified as one intrinsically safe system.

The two modules serve opposite directions in the CENTUM digital signal path: ASD143-P00 S1 converts NAMUR field states and pulse transitions into FCS data, while ASD533-S00 S1 converts FCS commands into isolated field outputs.
ASD143-P00 S1 evaluates the NAMUR current state on each isolated channel and presents the accepted condition to the FCS without combining the field circuits at a shared return.
The -P execution of ASD143-P00 S1 accepts pushbutton or pulse transitions up to the specified 25 Hz cycle rate so discrete events can be counted rather than treated only as static status.
ASD533-S00 S1 receives a controller command through the I/O interface and drives the assigned field circuit through its barrier output stage; the connected load determines the terminal voltage within the stated output characteristic.
Built-in barriers do not make the module alone an approved hazardous-area loop. The selected field device, cable, terminal execution and bonding method must satisfy the entity and installation requirements together.
Confirm that the NAMUR sensor connected to ASD143-P00 S1 or the load driven by ASD533-S00 S1 has entity parameters compatible with the documented barrier circuit before conductors are landed.
Use ATSB4 terminals with ASD143-P00 S1 and ATSD3 terminals with ASD533-S00 S1, then match the single or dual-redundant option to the installed node instead of interchanging terminal families.
With field energy isolated, inspect conductor segregation and equipotential bonding, prove each channel with an approved test method, and record the barrier, terminal and field-device combination before service.
No. Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1 / ASD533-S00 S1 have opposite signal directions, different channel counts and different terminal families, so the installed function and terminal execution must match the exact model.
Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1 / ASD533-S00 S1 use the ATSB4 and ATSD3 pressure-clamp families respectively; select the documented single or dual-redundant option for the node arrangement.
Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1 adds pushbutton and pulse-count handling with a maximum 25 Hz ON/OFF cycle, whereas Yokogawa ASD533-S00 S1 is an output module that drives isolated status circuits rather than counting input transitions.
With Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1 / ASD533-S00 S1, test ASD533-S00 S1 using the approved field load and command the point OFF and ON while checking the loop response; ASD143-P00 S1 is checked from the input side with a compatible NAMUR source.
No. Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1 / ASD533-S00 S1 must be evaluated with the field device, cable, terminal block, entity parameters and equipotential-bonding arrangement as one intrinsically safe system.
For Yokogawa ASD143-P00 S1 / ASD533-S00 S1, de-energize the node and every source connected to the hazardous-area circuits, prove the isolated state, and preserve channel and terminal identities before disturbing conductors.
