TMR differential analog input modules · Tricon v9–v11 systems · exact-model selection
For Tricon v9–v11 analog acquisition, the Triconex 3700 / 3701 pair covers two TMR differential input ranges. Triconex 3700 accepts 0–5 V signals, while Triconex 3701 accepts 0–10 V signals, and each module converts 32 differential DC-coupled points into controller data.
Across the input terminals, Triconex 3700 / 3701 samples each differential DC-coupled signal through three analog channels before the value reaches the controller. The pair uses a 55 ms update rate, 12-bit resolution, 30 MΩ minimum input resistance, and a –12 V to +12 V peak common-mode range; the voltage span selects 3700 or 3701.
For Triconex 3700 / 3701 current conversion, the 3700 variant uses a 250 Ω shunt for 0–20 mA and the 3701 variant uses a 500 Ω shunt. The same front-panel Pass, Fault, and Active indicators then report module condition separately from the signal-range choice.

Triconex 3700 / 3701 differ primarily in the voltage span presented to the differential input channels; the sampling and resolution remain common to the pair.
Use the 0–5 V range for Triconex 3700 and the 0–10 V range for Triconex 3701.
Each differential point is sampled through three TMR channels before the value is made available to the controller.
A 250 Ω shunt belongs to Triconex 3700; a 500 Ω shunt belongs to Triconex 3701.
Triconex 3700 / 3701 monitor the analog channels while maintaining input protection and front-panel status indication.
The –12 V to +12 V peak common-mode range applies to each differential channel.
The input circuit is specified for 150 VDC or 115 VAC continuous over-range protection.
A sustained 2% of full-scale difference between readings is the stated diagnostic threshold for the 3700/3701 family.
For Triconex 3700 / 3701, Triconex 3700 is the 0–5 VDC differential input version, while Triconex 3701 is the 0–10 VDC version. The selected field span determines which module record belongs to the signal.
For Triconex 3700 / 3701, Each of the 32 DC-coupled points is wired as a differential signal and sampled through the triplicated analog path. It is not a single-ended input referenced only to one return.
For Triconex 3700 / 3701, A 250 Ω shunt converts 0–20 mA for Triconex 3700, while Triconex 3701 uses 500 Ω. Using the other resistance changes the voltage presented to the input circuit.
The 55 ms figure is the input update rate for the Triconex 3700 / 3701 pair, not a field-cable delay or a controller scan time. The conversion resolution is 12 bits.
For Triconex 3700 / 3701, Keep the differential channel within the –12 V to +12 V peak common-mode range. This limit applies to the channel input relationship, not to the 0–5 V or 0–10 V signal span itself.
For Triconex 3700 / 3701, Pass, Fault, and Active LEDs report the module condition on both variants. The voltage range and shunt selection remain wiring and configuration decisions.
