The MTL Instruments 8922-RB-IS PAC8000 Railbus Signal Isolator is a high-integrity interface module designed for 

safe signal transmission and isolation in hazardous area automation systems.This Railbus isolator module supports 

intrinsically safe analog and digital signal handling, including two analog inputs (4–20 mA or 0–10 V), two dry-contact 

digital inputs, two analog outputs (4–20 mA), and one relay digital output.The unit supports communication protocols 

including HART 7.0, Modbus RTU, and optional Profibus DP, enabling flexible integration into modern industrial control 

networks. It operates with a Railbus supply current of up to 50 mA in safe areas and 60 mA in IS environments at 12 V, 

with a maximum power dissipation of 1.2 W.Built for extreme industrial conditions, the module operates reliably in 

temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F), making it suitable for harsh and hazardous environments 

where safety and reliability are critical.
