On July 1, Hitachi Ltd. and ABB Ltd. jointly announced the establishment of Hitachi ABB Grid Ltd. The parties signed the agreement on December 17, 2018[1] and have completed all required procedures as planned. Hitachi will hold 80.1% of the shares in the new joint venture, with the remaining shares held by ABB.
The joint venture was created by two widely respected companies to create a new global leader in the power industry.
