Product Overview
These GE VersaMax Micro PLCs provide integrated discrete I/O for compact machine control. IC200UDD212 is the 28-point, 12 VDC controller with 16 inputs and 12 transistor outputs; IC200UDD220 is the 20-point, 24 VDC controller with eight sink outputs; and IC200UDD240 is the 40-point, 24 VDC controller with 16 sink outputs. All three combine configurable DC inputs with compact control hardware, but the point count, supply requirement, and output arrangement must be matched to the panel design.

Product Features
Start by matching the field-input standard to the installed panel: the 28-point version uses sixteen 12 VDC inputs, while the 20- and 40-point versions use 24 VDC inputs. Confirm the controller power and input range together before transferring wiring.
For normal machine sensing, map each configurable DC input in the application and verify the required point count. For output wiring, keep the transistor or sink-output circuit matched to its correct DC load and field supply; output technology is not interchangeable with relay wiring.
Performance
Use the faster 24 VDC controllers when the application needs up to 100 kHz high-speed counting or up to 65 kHz pulse/PWM functions. The 12 VDC version has a 10 kHz counter and 5 kHz pulse/PWM limit, so that variant must be selected from the motion or pulse requirement rather than I/O total alone.
During commissioning, prove ordinary inputs and high-speed channels separately. Record the programmed counter/PWM assignment and test only with the published supply and load arrangement, because a conventional output load does not validate a high-speed function.
Product FAQ
Which supply check prevents choosing the wrong IC200UDD212 / IC200UDD220 / IC200UDD240 controller?
Match the existing 12 or 24 VDC controller supply and input standard before comparing point count.
How can IC200UDD212 / IC200UDD220 / IC200UDD240 retain high-speed counting after replacement?
Confirm the configured fast channel and its published 10 or 100 kHz limit for the installed variant.
Why will a relay-wiring plan not suit IC200UDD212 / IC200UDD220 / IC200UDD240 outputs?
These models use transistor or sink DC outputs, so the field supply and load polarity must match the documented circuit.
What should be recorded before moving IC200UDD212 / IC200UDD220 / IC200UDD240 wiring?
Record power, input common, output type, point assignment and the original program configuration.
How can an IC200UDD212 / IC200UDD220 / IC200UDD240 field-load fault be isolated?
Check the external DC supply, load polarity and individual output circuit before concluding that the controller is defective.
When is a larger IC200UDD212 / IC200UDD220 / IC200UDD240 point count not an upgrade?
When the controller supply, input voltage or high-speed function differs from the installed application.
