A Genius bus power-monitoring block for three-phase voltage and current measurement, calculated electrical data, waveform capture and overcurrent-event recording.
IC660BPM100 is the ordering number identified in the GE Fanuc Genius PowerTRAC Block User's Manual. The block monitors voltage and current inputs and makes calculated power-system data available to a Genius host or a Genius Hand-held Monitor.
The hardware is divided into a permanently wired Terminal Assembly and a removable Electronics Assembly. Current-transformer, potential-transformer, block-power and Genius-bus wiring land on the terminal assembly, so the electronics can be removed without disturbing the fixed field wiring or block configuration.
Selection must be based on the complete model and the intended PT/CT arrangement. The manual describes operation with one to three potential transformers and up to three current transformers, with at least one qualifying voltage input required for line-frequency synchronization.
The first data group contains calculated electrical values plus status and handshake information used during normal host exchanges.
A second group provides additional calculated information that can be requested when the application needs more than the regularly exchanged data set.
Requested table data can include waveform samples for seven inputs and overcurrent-event information. Event capture includes three cycles before and five cycles after the trigger.
Serviceability: the electronics assembly is removable while the terminal assembly retains fixed wiring. The manual states that CT-secondary electrical continuity is maintained when the electronics are removed.
The manual describes one to three potential transformers and up to three current transformers. At least one voltage input of the required level is needed for line-frequency synchronization.
Yes. GE Fanuc documents a stand-alone arrangement in which a Genius Hand-held Monitor provides configuration and operating displays.
The documented choices are 153.6 Kbaud standard, 153.6 Kbaud extended, 76.8 Kbaud and 38.4 Kbaud.
Calculated values and status data are updated twice per second after the block samples the voltage and current inputs.
The terminal assembly remains wired, and the manual states that electrical continuity on CT secondaries is maintained when the electronics assembly is removed.
In addition to regular calculated and status data, the host can request additional calculated data, waveform tables and overcurrent-event information.
