The Bently Nevada COMMTEST220 is a portable data acquisition module for recording machine vibration in non-hazardous environments. It works with a wireless industrial handheld running the S1 Collector application, then sends the collected records to System 1 for analysis and route-based monitoring.

At the machine, Bently Nevada COMMTEST220 provides two simultaneous sensor channels and a speed input. The acquisition module handles the transducer signals, while the handheld presents the collection workflow and stores the operator's route information.

For data transfer, Bently Nevada COMMTEST220 uses Bluetooth between the acquisition module and handheld, while Wi-Fi, cellular networking, file transfer or USB can carry the records toward System 1. The portable unit, handheld and software path remain one collection workflow.
