Product Description

The Bently Nevada 9200-03-02-02-00 and 9200-01-02-02-00 are two-wire Seismoprobe velocity transducers that share a circular 1/4-28 UNF base, a side-mounted connector and a 4.5 Hz lower response. Their primary catalog difference is the calibrated direction of the internal moving-coil mechanism.

Horizontal casing motion is measured by 9200-03-02-02-00 at 90° ±2.5°, whereas 9200-01-02-02-00 is the 0° ±2.5° vertical execution. Both produce 20 mV/mm/s across a 10 kΩ load and can feed compatible machinery monitors over a shielded two-wire path.

Operating Comparison — Horizontal and Vertical Response

The shared Seismoprobe hardware is calibrated in two orientations so the sensitive axis follows the intended direction of machine-casing motion.

Horizontal execution

9200-03-02-02-00 holds the sensitive axis at 90° within ±2.5°.

Vertical execution

9200-01-02-02-00 holds the moving-coil mechanism at 0° within ±2.5°.

Common response band

Both executions begin at 4.5 Hz and approach the shared upper-response region near 1 kHz.

04

Monitoring Integration — Shared Two-wire Interface

Both 9200 models connect to the monitor through the same side connector, polarity convention and load condition.

Signal polarity

Pin A becomes positive relative to Pin B when case velocity moves toward the connector.

Monitor load

The stated 20 mV/mm/s sensitivity is calibrated across a 10 kΩ load.

Cable route

A shielded two-wire run can extend to 305 m, with actual cable capacitance considered for high-frequency response.

Frequently Asked Questions

01

Which direction does 9200-03-02-02-00 measure?

It is the 90° ±2.5° horizontal execution.

02

What installation orientation belongs to 9200-01-02-02-00?

It is the 0° ±2.5° vertical execution.

03

Can 9200-03-02-02-00 replace 9200-01-02-02-00 without remounting?

No. Their calibrated orientations differ even though the base and connector options match.

04

Why does 9200-01-02-02-00 lose low-frequency response after tilting?

Its moving-coil mechanism must remain within the ±2.5° tolerance around vertical.

05

What cable is required by 9200-03-02-02-00?

Connector option 02 supplies no integral cable, so a compatible shielded two-wire interconnect is selected separately.

06

What base fault lowers output from either 9200-03-02-02-00 or 9200-01-02-02-00?

A loose or uneven 1/4-28 circular-base interface attenuates casing motion before it reaches the sensor.
