Product Information

The 3300 XL 50 mm sensor system consists of a stand-alone 50 mm probe, an extension cable, and a 3300 XL 50 mm Proximitor Sensor. The large coil diameter gives the system a maximum linear range of 27.9 mm (1100 mils), the longest linear range in our eddy current sensor family. This linear range makes the 3300 XL 50 mm sensor system ideal for measuring differential expansion (DE) or rotor expansion (RX) in large steam turbine generators. This expansion is caused by the difference in growth rate between the turbine rotor and the machine stator (casing).
