Bently Nevada 330750-80-05 High-temperature Velomitor System

8 m hardline cable5.7 mV/mm/s−55…+400 °C sensor end

Product Description

The Bently Nevada 330750-80-05 is an 8 m high-temperature Velomitor System that combines a remote sensing head, mineral-insulated hardline cable and separate signal-conditioning electronics. Machine-case velocity moves through the sensor head at the hot location, travels along the hardline connection, and is converted by the electronics into a powered velocity signal for the monitoring channel.

Temperature zones are deliberately separated in 330750-80-05: the sensing head and integral hardline operate from −55 to +400 °C, while the electronics remain within −55 to +121 °C. Code 80 selects the 8 m hardline and code 05 selects the multiple-approval execution, so the installed route must keep the electronics outside the high-temperature zone while preserving the factory cable and two-pin connection.

High-Temperature Velocity Signal Path

In 330750-80-05, sensing and conditioning are physically separated so only the head and hardline enter the 400 °C zone.

Moving-coil sensing head

Case motion produces the velocity-dependent electrical response at the machine without placing active conditioning electronics in the hottest location.

Eight-metre hardline transfer

The mineral-insulated hardline carries the raw transducer response away from the hot surface and must remain at its factory length and bend limits.

Remote conditioned output

The electronics establish the −12 V bias and 5.7 mV/mm/s sensitivity used by the monitor input across the specified bandwidth.

Hazardous-Area Cable and Housing Limits

The complete suffix of 330750-80-05 identifies the approved system while installation conditions remain divided between its hot sensor end and cooler electronics end.

Approval identity

Option 05 stays with the sensor, hardline and electronics assembly when site certification and barrier requirements are reviewed.

Connector and shield path

The two-pin MIL connector and isolated case keep the signal pair distinct from the housing; field wiring follows the specified monitor and shield termination.

Environmental boundary

The hardline can occupy the 400 °C area, but the electronics housing must remain at or below 121 °C and within the published altitude and humidity limits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are the electronics of 330750-80-05 mounted away from the sensing point?

The sensing head and hardline are rated to +400 °C, but the electronics are rated only to +121 °C. Separating them prevents the conditioning circuit from being exposed to the machine-surface temperature.

Can the 8 m hardline on 330750-80-05 be shortened in the field?

No. The ordered hardline is an integral mineral-insulated assembly, not ordinary signal cable. Shortening or reterminating it changes the factory construction and the intended transfer path.

What does a bias value far from −12 VDC indicate on 330750-80-05?

It points to a problem in the powered loop, electronics module, field wiring or monitor input rather than to vibration amplitude alone. Check supply, polarity, connector condition and circuit continuity before interpreting the ac signal.

Why can 330750-80-05 show noise even when the machine is stopped?

Poor shield termination, a loose two-pin connector or routing beside high-energy cables can couple interference into the long signal path. The case isolation and documented shield arrangement must remain intact.

Which temperature matters when applying 330750-80-05?

Use the +400 °C limit only for the sensing head and hardline. The remote electronics location must be evaluated against its separate +121 °C maximum and the surrounding enclosure temperature.

What should be checked before replacing 330750-80-05?

Confirm the full 80-05 suffix, hardline length, connector, approval execution and mounting orientation. Also record the existing bias voltage and field-cable polarity so installation issues are not mistaken for a failed transducer.
