Product Description

Bently Nevada 24701-28-05-XX-117-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02 / 24701-28-05-XX-065-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02 covers two externally mounted stainless-steel housings for the 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe. Each assembly provides a protected mechanical route from the conduit entry through the probe sleeve to the target-facing sensor tip.

For Bently Nevada 24701-28-05-XX-117-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02 / 24701-28-05-XX-065-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02, Option A code 28 selects a 3300 XL 8 mm probe with approval option and Option B code 05 sets a 0.5 m probe cable. Option D codes 117 and 065 define 11.7 in and 6.5 in penetration dimensions, while Option E code 03 supplies the plug, reducer and cable-seal grip set.

The 303 stainless-steel body of Bently Nevada 24701-28-05-XX-117-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02 / 24701-28-05-XX-065-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02 carries the dome and conduit threads, and the 304 stainless-steel sleeve carries the probe reach. These mechanical parts protect and position the probe but do not convert the eddy-current signal.

Three-step installation

Installation & Integration: Long-Sleeve Housing Setup

The 11.7 in and 6.5 in Bently Nevada 24701 configurations require separate reach checks before the shared stainless-steel housing parts are assembled.

01

1. Select the penetration

Keep the 11.7 in or 6.5 in Option D dimension with its complete model and confirm that the 0.5 m probe lead extends beyond the required sleeve path.

02

2. Route and seal

Install the reverse-mount probe, O-rings and thread seal, then pass the lead through the cable-seal grip and reducer without compressing the coaxial cable.

03

3. Restrain and set the gap

Add external sleeve support when C plus D exceeds 300 mm, fasten the housing to the machine case and electrically gap the probe before tightening the dome and conduit hardware.

04
Conduit entry

Product Features: Cable-Seal and Reducer Set

Fitting code 03 defines the conduit-side hardware that closes, seals and reduces the threaded housing connection.

01

Port closure

The 3/4-14 NPT plug closes an unused threaded port in the housing body.

02

Cable sealing

The cable-seal grip surrounds the exiting probe lead at the conduit-side connection.

03

Thread reduction

The 3/4-to-1/2 reducer adapts the housing port to the smaller connection where required.

Common Questions

Why must the 117 and 065 records remain separate for 24701-28-05-XX-117-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02 / 24701-28-05-XX-065-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02?

The 117 and 065 fields in 24701-28-05-XX-117-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02 / 24701-28-05-XX-065-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02 specify 11.7 in and 6.5 in Option D penetration dimensions. The shared body and cable length do not remove that mechanical difference.

Which conduit parts are used with 24701-28-05-XX-117-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02 / 24701-28-05-XX-065-03-XX MOD:323933-00-02?
