V31 voltage-doubler input
2097-V31PR0-LM can use the 120/240 V single-phase arrangement; at 120 V the voltage-doubler circuit supplies the 240 V motor bus at the corresponding current boundary.

Allen-Bradley 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM are 0.4 kW Kinetix 350 single-axis EtherNet/IP servo drives that use two different line-input arrangements. V31 accepts 120/240 V AC single-phase input without an integrated line filter, whereas V32 is the 240 V AC single-phase version with the AC line filter built into the drive. That input distinction remains important even when the connected motor power is unchanged.
On 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM, the incoming mains feed the rectifier and DC bus, the inverter creates the motor output, and a separate feedback connector closes the motor-position loop. EtherNet/IP links the axis to the controller, while the 20–26 V DC backup input can maintain control power independently of the main AC input. The backup circuit does not supply the inverter or create motor torque.
The shared 2.0 A continuous-output rating does not remove the installation difference between 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM. The V31 version needs the specified external filtering arrangement when required, while the V32 version incorporates the filter; the shunt thresholds also follow the respective 120/240 V and 240 V bus classes. Each version therefore retains its own supply, filtering, and regenerative assumptions.

2097-V31PR0-LM can use the 120/240 V single-phase arrangement; at 120 V the voltage-doubler circuit supplies the 240 V motor bus at the corresponding current boundary.
2097-V32PR0-LM accepts 240 V single-phase power and includes the AC line filter, so an enquiry must not substitute it solely by matching the 0.4 kW rating.
Both drives provide 2.0 A rms continuous and 6.0 A rms peak output, keeping the axis rating common while the supply-side hardware differs.
The installation of 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM must keep the mains circuit, backup control supply, motor cable, feedback cable, network, and STO circuit in their assigned roles.
EtherNet/IP carries the controller-to-drive command and status exchange, while the feedback cable returns motor sensing directly to the drive.
The 20–26 V DC backup input feeds the control electronics separately from the main AC power path and is rated at 500 mA nominal.
Upright mounting with 25 mm free above and below and 3 mm at each side preserves the stated airflow boundary for either input arrangement.
For 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM, consider the following. The supply-side hardware is the key difference. 2097-V31PR0-LM accepts 120/240 V single-phase power and has no integrated line filter; 2097-V32PR0-LM is the 240 V single-phase filtered version. Confirm the available supply and filtering requirement before using the shared power rating.
When 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM is involved, do not carry over the voltage-doubler assumption or the external-filter arrangement. The V32 catalog code moves the drive into the 240 V filtered-input configuration and uses the corresponding higher DC-bus shunt thresholds.
Use the 5.0 A nominal input-current value for either catalog number at 240 V. That shared current value does not remove the supply-side distinction: V31 is the unfiltered voltage-doubler arrangement, while V32 is the integrated-filter arrangement. This guidance covers 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM.
On 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM, no. Both use a 20–26 V DC control-power backup input rated 500 mA nominal. The backup circuit supports the control electronics; the different V31 and V32 catalog positions instead define the mains-input, filtering, and DC-bus arrangement.
Reserve at least 25 mm above and below the upright drive and 3 mm at each side, then add any space required by connectors, wire bend radius, filters, or adjacent heat-producing equipment. The stated boundary applies to 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM.
With 2097-V31PR0-LM / 2097-V32PR0-LM under review, no. Safe torque-off is a dedicated hardware safety interface, not a normal motion command. It must be wired and validated independently from the EtherNet/IP command path and from ordinary digital control inputs.
