The CPU motherboard includes a microprocessor, RAM, a real-time clock, LED indicators, a reset button, and a CompactFlash interface. The PM862 controller baseboard features two RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2) for connecting to the control network, and two RJ45 serial ports (COM3, COM4). One serial port (COM3) is an RS232C port with modem control signals, while the other (COM4) is an isolated serial port for connecting configuration tools. This controller supports CPU redundancy for enhanced system reliability (including CPU, CEX bus, communication interfaces, and S800 I/O). Its unique sliding-latch design allows easy installation and removal of the controller from a DIN rail. Each baseboard has a pre-assigned unique Ethernet address, providing a unique hardware identifier for each CPU. This address can be found on the Ethernet address label affixed to the TP830 baseboard.
