The ABB NBRA-659 Braking Chopper Module is a dynamic braking chopper designed for use with ABB variable frequency drive systems (such as ACS800 / ACS850 / ACS550 series) and compatible 3-phase inverters. It provides reliable and efficient dissipation of excess energy generated during motor deceleration or rapid stopping, preventing over-voltage on the DC bus and protecting the drive system and motor.
