Axes 4–6 cable unit for the IRB 2400 manipulator, identified by the complete ABB model and ordering record.
ABB 3HAC9328-1 is the standard cable unit for axes 4–6 of the IRB 2400 manipulator. It carries the wrist-axis motor and feedback connections through the upper-arm routing so the controller can drive and measure axes 4, 5 and 6.
At the manipulator side, ABB 3HAC9328-1 terminates at the documented R1.MP4-6 and R2.BU4-6 connections and includes earth-cable routing that must be restored with the harness. The cable-unit path is supported and strapped so wrist motion does not load connector transitions.
When ABB 3HAC9328-1 is replaced, axes 1–4 are placed at 0° and axis 5 at +90° before the wrist harness is disconnected. The serial-measurement board is handled without straining its battery cable, then the cable route, ties and wrist movement are checked before calibration verification.

Motor connections deliver the commanded energy for axes 4–6 through the articulated wrist route.
Measurement signals return through the same managed cable path without being treated as field I/O.
Earth connections follow the harness so the replacement restores both signal continuity and bonding.
The official replacement sequence controls robot position, connector release and cable support before movement is restored.
Set axes 1–4 to 0° and axis 5 to +90° to expose the documented cable route.
Disconnect R1.MP4-6, R2.BU4-6 and earth connections, then transfer the harness without twisting connector transitions.
Fit the specified cable ties, check full wrist travel, reconnect the measurement path and verify calibration.
The cable unit is documented for IRB 2400/10 and IRB 2400/16 manipulators.
The stated axis positions provide access and reduce unwanted loading while the wrist cable is released and routed.
The replacement procedure identifies R1.MP4-6 and R2.BU4-6, together with the earth-cable connections.
No. Restore the documented path and specified tie locations so wrist movement does not pull the harness.
Check connector seating, earth continuity, route clearance, full wrist travel and the robot calibration state.
No. The axes 4–6 cable unit coordinates motor, feedback and bonding paths through the wrist area.
